The 12th International Scanning Probe Microscopy (ISPM) Conference is being held in Sapporo on the 10-12th May 2010. The meeting covers areas such as Nanomechanics, Force spectroscopy, Novel instrumentation, Biomolecular imaging, Tip-based nanofabrication, Nanoscale quantitative analysis and High resolution imaging: air and liquids.

This coming September the 3rd Nanoscience and Quantum Information Symposium will be held at the University of Bristol, to mark the scientific opening of the NSQI centre. Registration is open and more information is available on the symposium website.

The 24th Biennial Meeting of the Polymer Physics Group was held on 14-16 September 2009 in Wills Hall, here at the University of Bristol. The meeting had a broad remit, attracting delegates from across the polymer community, and providing a forum for younger members of the community to showcase their work.
