Dates For 2008
Dates are not yet confirmed for Think About Physics (TAP) 2008.
What is 'Think About Physics'?
Think About Physics is a programme that is run within the Physics
department at the
Demonstrations and practicals may differ slightly from year to year, but in the past have included the girls making liquid crystal thermometers and watching comets being made. The day always concludes with the "Ice-cream Lecture" with plenty of samples afterwards.
During the day all the girls will have the opportunity to meet and question a number of women who work in many different fields but who all have an A-level in Physics. The girls are encouraged to ask the women about their studies and careers to help them decide if an A-level in Physics is for them.

Anna, a graduate demonstrator, helping girls taking part in the practical session at TAP 2004.
Our thanks to Bristol University, Children of the 90s, The Institute of Physics, The Institute of Physics Publishing, Leicester University, Nature Magazine, Qinetiq, and Renishaw for their support.
