The 16th International Conference on Positron Annihilation (ICPA-16) will be held at the H. H. Wills Physics Laboratory, University of Bristol, United Kingdom in the period of August 19-24, 2012 . This conference is the 16th in a series of meetings dating back to 1965 and it continues the long holding tradition of showcasing novel and exciting research from the field of positron annihilation. This conference has a broad remit, attracting participants from across the positron annihilation community, and providing a forum for younger researchers/ postgraduate students to interact with leaders in the field and present their work.
Along with a full oral and poster programme, the conference will include a number of invited talks (speakers to be confirmed shortly), encompassing a breadth of topics across the field of positron annihilation, from the fundamentals of positron/positronium physics to new results, theoretical pursuits and novel experimental methods.
The conference will be set in the picturesque surroundings of the University of Bristol precinct, within walking distance of Bristol's famous landmarks, including Isambard Brunel's S.S. Great Britain and the iconic Clifton suspension Bridge.
