Postgraduate open days
for prospective PhD students
We invite anyone seriously interested in starting a Physics PhD or MSc by research in 2012 to attend our Research Open Day on Wednesday 30th November.
The Open Day will run between 1pm and 5pm and will give you the chance to learn about exciting opportunities in:
- Particle physics
- Cosmology
- Astrophysics
- Bio-molecules at the nanoscale
- Condensed matter
- Quantum information science
- Novel electronic devices
- Photonics
- Theory
- Surface and liquid physics
The programme will include lunch, an opportunity to meet current PhD students, short talks covering the different research groups in the School of Physics, lab tours and interviews or discussions with potential supervisors.
